    A change is being made on Games for Windows ® LIVE today to improve the Multiplayer experience for Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II players. Players should see a higher percentage of compatible games in the custom games list and reduced search times during matchmaking. Players with an out of date version of Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II will need to connect to Steam in 'online mode' to download the latest patch.


    Players choosing to remain in 'off-line' mode will continue to have access to off-line Campaign and LAN game modes without connecting to Games for Window ® LIVE or Steam.[/spoil]

    * Addressed a Population Cap issue where during reinforcement, the final unit reinforced charged twice the population cap to the player. *NOTE* – This is part of 1 of a 2 part fix. There are still a few edge cases where the bug could occur. They are however, rare and require intended exploitation in order to recreate. Our next patch will completely resolve this issue but requires further testing and certification
    * Fixed an issue where users with the top end video cards were unable to select Ultra settingg
    * Fixed a Fatal Scar error in Mission D (Angel Forge)
    * Ripper squads can no longer manually reinforce, they now just automatically reinforce near the HQ

    * Space marine units have no "traditional" upkeep (upkeep costs start at 110 population for them, and population is limited to 100)
    * All units have extra upkeep, which is taken as a percentage of the player's req income. For example, A Tyranid player with 3 Hormagaunt squads and a Ripper squad would have (340 - 20.4) * (1 - 0.00425*24) req income; 340 is the base HQ income, 20.4 is the traditional upkeep cost from squads above 30 pop (1 of those hormagaunt squads), 0.00425*24 is the upkeep percentage from 3 squads of 8 hormagaunts (3 * 8 = 24), each at 0.425%.[/spoil]

    • Zwei neue 4-Spieler-Karten wurden dem Spiel hinzugefügt: Medäisches Klippenbergwerk (4 S) und Ruinen von Argus (4 S).
    • Der Spielmodus '2 gegen 2' ist nun auch im Ranglisten-Spiel verfügbar.

    Neue Optionen


    • Wir haben für den Sprach-Chat die Option 'Drücken-zum-Sprechen' hinzugefügt. Ist diese Spieloption aktiv, kann der Chat mit dem Tilde-Zeichen (~) gesteuert werden.
    • Wir haben außerdem eine 'Erweiterte Unterauswahl' zu den Spieloptionen hinzugefügt. Ist diese aktiviert, ist das gleiche Verhalten wie bei Company of Heroes zu erwarten. Ein unterausgewählter Trupp ist dann der einzige, der Befehle erhält.


    Stabilität


    • Mehrere Abstürze beseitigt, bei denen ungültige Daten in die Log-Dateien geschrieben wurden.
    • Verbreiteter Absturz beim Multi-Threading behoben.
    • Mehrere Abstürze (Out of Memory) bei Vista 32 behoben.
    • Absturz beseitigt, der auftritt, wenn Avitus beim Spielende die Truppen verstärkt.


    Änderungen der Benutzeroberfläche


    • Die bisherigen Truppengrafiken bei "Spieler gegen Spieler" wurden durch andere ersetzt, die auf der Funktion des Trupps beruhen. Die neuen Grafiken machen Einheiten über die Völker hinweg leicht erkennbar. Ein neuer Hinweis im Ladebildschirm wurde hinzugefügt, der die neuen Grafiken erläutert.
    Verbesserungen bei der Wiederholung


    • 4-fache Geschwindigkeit hinzugefügt.
    • Fortschrittsbalken beim Erobern sind nun sichtbar.
    • Ausrüstung des Kommandanten sowie Truppverbesserungen sind nun in der Einheitenauswahl sichtbar.
    • Bauwarteschlangen werden nun angezeigt.
    • Die Schaltflächen für die Wiederholung nutzen nun Geräusche.
    • Truppengrafiken werden in Wiederholungen nun angezeigt.


    Armee-Designer


    • Die Buchstabenbegrenzung der Ordensnamen wurde nun auf 32 erhöht.
    • Es können nun maximal 350 eigene Orden erstellt werden.


    Fehlerbehebungen im Spiel


    • Fehler behoben, bei dem eine Einheit mit Energieschild unzerstörbar werden kann, wenn diese eine sehr geringe Gesundheit hat.
    • Fehler behoben, bei dem der Carnifex den Nahkampf gegen Einheiten beendet, wenn er im Nahkampf einen Helden getötet hat.
    • Die Zielprioritäten der Panzaknakkaz wurden verbessert. Es werden nun bevorzugt Fahrzeuge angegriffen.
    • Fehler behoben, bei dem Sprengladungen bestimmtes Gelände nicht durchdringen können und auch nicht detonieren.
    • Fehler behoben, bei dem der Techmarine Reparaturen fortsetzt, obwohl er bewusstlos ist.
    • Truppen steigen nun aus einem Fahrzeug aus, wenn dieses zerstört wird.
    • Es werden nun die gesamten Ressourcen zurückgezahlt, wenn der Bau eines Gebäudes abgebrochen wird und er noch nicht begonnen hat.
    • Rückzahlungen beim Warpportalknoten besser eingestellt.
    • Rückzahlungen für den schweren Bolter des Techmarine besser eingestellt.
    • Fehler behoben, bei dem eine Nahkampfsprungeinheit einer teleportierenden oder springenden Einheit über große Strecken folgt.
    • Der erweiterte Warpgenerator und der verbesserte Warpgenerator des Warpspinnenexarchen wurden korrigiert.
    • Rückschlag und Unterdrückung der Sensenklauen besser eingestellt.
    • Wegeproblem in der Typhon Arena (6 S) behoben.


    Textfehler


    • Hilfetext für die Ausrüstung 'Adrenalindrüsen' des Liktorhelden korrigiert.
    • Hilfetext für die Fähigkeit 'Katalyst' korrigiert.
    • Hilfetext für die Meisterrobe des Runenlesers korrigiert.
    • Hilfetext für die Fähigkeit 'Liebe da Dakka' korrigiert.


    Benutzerdefinierte Spiele


    • Die Spieler werden nicht mehr aufgefordert, ein Spiel anzufechten, wenn ein Spieler aus einen Nicht-Ranglisten-Spiel geworfen wurde.

    Erfolge


    • Fehler beim Erfolg 'Vorrücken und wegfegen' behoben. Bisher wurde dieser Erfolg nicht gewährt, wenn die sich zurückziehende Einheit die letzte des Trupps war.


    Audio-Verbesserungen


    • Sprachereignisse werden nun ausgeblendet, wenn Ereignisse mit höherer Priorität auftreten.
    • Die Voreinstellung für die mittlere Klangqualität nutzt nun 44100 Hz anstatt 22050 Hz.


    Bildschirmanzeige und Benutzeroberfläche


    • Es gibt nun zwei Karten-Ping-Schaltflächen: Angriff und Verteidigung (die Hotkeys sind entsprechend F8 und F9).
    • Hotkey für den Rückzug aller Trupps hinzugefügt (ALT-X).
    • Hotkey für den Rückzug des Helden hinzugefügt (Umschalt-X).
    • Problem behoben, bei dem die Kamera festgesetzt wird, wenn Sie eine Schaltfläche in eine Gruppenauswahl mit einbezogen haben und diese dann anklicken, ohne die Maus zu bewegen.
    • Die Kamera bewegt sich nicht mehr seitlich, wenn ein Zug begonnen wird oder eine Gruppenauswahl besteht.
    • Die Stärke von Truppen mit Sergeanten wird in der Benutzeroberfläche für Verstärkung nun korrekt angezeigt.
    • Bewusstlose Helden werden nun nicht mehr ausgewählt, wenn die Gruppenauswahl benutzt wird.
    • Fähigkeiten, die anvisiert werden müssen, können nun bei mehrfach ausgewählten Porträts und in den Truppentabs genutzt werden.
    • Problem behoben, bei dem die ersten Trupps keine Hotkeys zugewiesen bekommen, wenn ein anderer Spieler nur langsam lädt.
    • Die Balken der Spielerlisten werden nicht mehr ein- und ausgeblendet, wenn der Sprach-Chat benutzt wird.
    • Problem behoben, bei dem Treffer an der Heckpanzerung mehrfach ausgelöst werden.
    • Auswahlkreise verschwinden nun nicht mehr, wenn eine ausgewählte Einheit einen Synchron-Kill ausführt.
    • Fehler behoben, bei dem ausgegraute Fähigkeiten angezeigt werden, wenn ein Trupp sich zurückzieht.
    • Fehler behoben, bei dem die Gesundheit beim Porträt der Einheit mit null angezeigt wird, obwohl diese noch lebt.
    • Beim Anklicken eines Truppentabs einer Einheit in einem Warpportal oder dem Tunnel eines Venators wird nun ordnungsgemäß der Trupp angezeigt.
    • Fehler behoben, bei dem ein Sergeant manchmal zwei Truppengrafiken besitzt, wenn er ein Warpportal verlässt.
    • Die Benutzeroberfläche für Verstärkung wird nun nicht mehr angezeigt, wenn ein Held ausgewählt wird.
    • Problem behoben, bei dem ein leeres Viereck erscheint, wenn ein Trupp verstärkt wird.
    • Gegnerische Spieler können in der Spielerliste nun nicht mehr sehen, welche Zufallsauswahl bei Völkern vorgenommen wird.
    • Fehler behoben, bei dem ein Hilfetext beim Kauf einer Heldenausrüstung nicht sichtbar ist.
    • Problem behoben, bei dem manchmal ein schwarzer Rahmen über einem besetzbaren Gebäude erscheint.
    • Das Drücken der Leertaste im Chat lässt nicht mehr 2 Leerzeichen erscheinen.


    Spieloptionen


    • Fehler behoben, bei dem die Klangschaltflächen im Bildschirm für die Spieloptionen verschwinden, nachdem die Helligkeit eingestellt wird.


    Verbesserungen der KI-Spieler


    • KI-Spieler der Stufen 'Hart' und 'Experte' sorgen durch eine Vielzahl von Einheiten der Gruppe 1 für höheren Spieldruck zu Beginn des Spiels.
    • KI-Spieler kaufen nun verschiedene Ausrüstungen für ihren Helden und sorgen besser dafür, dass ihre Wirtschaft nicht geschädigt wird.
    • KI-Spieler kaufen nun eine angemessene Menge an Generatoren.
    • KI-Spieler greifen den Feind nun an und kämpfen aggressiver als zuvor.
    • KI-Spieler können ihre Einheiten nun besser beschützen und ziehen sich zu angemessener Zeit sowohl aus dem Nahkampf als auch aus dem Fernkampf zurück.
    • Die KI-Spieler setzen die Einheitenfähigkeiten nun besser ein.
    • KI-Spieler verbessern vorhandene Einheiten nun geschickter mit einer Vielzahl an Verbesserungen.
    • KI-Spieler priorisieren Eroberungspunkte nun geschickter.
    • KI-Spieler gelangen nun in einem angemessenen Zeitraum zu Tech-Stufe 2 und kaufen ihre Einheiten später abhängig von den Erfordernissen des Kampfes.
    • KI-Spieler gelangen nun in Tech-Stufe 3 und kaufen später Einheiten wie Carnifex, Predator, Illum Zar, etc. abhängig von den Erfordernissen des Kampfes.
    • KI-Spieler greifen Unterdrückungswaffen nun über die Flanke an.
    • KI-Spieler kaufen tote Helden nun zu angemesseneren Preisen ein.
    • KI-Spieler nutzen im Mehrspielermodus keinen Karten-Ping mehr.
    • KI-Spieler kaufen keine Generatoren mehr (und brechen den Bau auch nicht ab), wenn Feinde in der Nähe sind.


    Kampagne


    • Die Sprachausgabe für die Auftragsbeschreibung wird nur noch abgespielt, wenn der Auftrag zum ersten Mal gestartet wird.
    • Problem behoben, bei dem die Sternenkarte nicht hervorgehoben wird, wenn ein Spieler zum ersten Mal von Planet zu Planet reisen muss.
    • Der Bildschirm für den Aufstieg eines Charakters in die nächste Stufe berücksichtigt nun die Belohnungen, die durch den Auftrag vergeben werden.
    • Schwerer SCAR-Fehler beim Engelstor behoben.
    • Schwerer SCAR-Fehler bei der ersten Begegnung mit dem Liktor behoben.


    Koop


    • Beim Start eines Kampagnenauftrags wird nun ein Countdown angezeigt.
    • Problem behoben, bei dem der Hotkey des anderen Spielers in einem Koop-Spiel immer auf 5 gesetzt wird.


    Sprache


    • Die ungarische Sprache wird nun unterstützt.

    • Purification Rights damage decreased from 30 to 15
    • Relay Beacon health regeneration rate decreased .4 to .15
    • Force Commander’s hitpoints increased from 720 to 820
    • Tactical Marine bolter damage decreased to 25

    Generator health has been increased to 600 from 500, a 20% increase
    All walkers except the Wraithlord had their speed increased from 4 to 4.5 m/s
    All personal teleport abilities now start on cooldown
    Walker charge cooldowns reduced from 8 seconds to 5
    Snipe damage now does 125% to heavy armor
    Melee heroes have had their weapon skill increased to 70 from 60. This will increase their chance to special attack units and reduce their chance of being special attacked. Heroes include: Force Commander, Apothecary, Warboss, Hive Tyrant, Lictor Alpha, Warlock and Farseer.

    The Warlock’s immolator blade damage over time is now set to piercing damage

    DLC's und andere Spielinhalte


    Zu Dawn of War II wurden zwar keine DLC's veröffentlicht, allerdings ist der Multiplayer Spielmodus "The Last Stand" enthalten, in dem drei Spieler gemeinsam mehrere Wellen feindlicher Truppen abwehren müssen.

    Das Race Pack - DLC, welches in sechs einzelnen DLC's jeweils 4 Ausrüstungsgegenstände für die Helden jeder Rasse beinhaltet.


    Das TLS-Helden - DLC, welches in sechs einzelnen DLC's jeweils 2 Ausrüstungsgegenstände für die Helden im Spielmodus "The Last Stand" beinhaltet.


    TLS - Tau-Commander - DLC, mit dem der Tau-Commander dem Spiel-Modus TLS hinzugefügt wird.


    All in One - Skinpack - DLC, mit allen 5 bisher veröffentlichten Skinpacks für den Multiplayer-Modus (nicht TLS!).


    Ultimate DLC-Pack, welches alle bisher veröffentlichten DLC beinhaltet.

    Edit vom 04.01.2014:


    Aufgrund des Untergangs unserer aller Lieblingsspieleschmiede THQ ist die Produktion von "Dawn of War III" leider eingestellt worden. Damit ist es auch höchst zweifelhaft, dass es jemals einen dritten Teil dieser Spiele-Serie gibt. Und das ist mehr als schade.
